Ventura California is alive all year long but anyone that lives there can tell you that the summer season is when most of the tourists come. They visit the City of Ventura, the Pacific Ocean, Ventura Public Beaches, the Ventura Hotels, and live music venues . Many of the venues and dinning locations are packed on the weekends and some week nights.

They host the Ventura Art Walk which includes live music, living artists, and a variety of art in Ventura California. There are many stores, parks, museums, and libraries that are open during day hours and welcome visitors but the majority of what we consider Ventura entertainment happens at night.
Ventura restaurants, bars, and cafes come alive after dark. Movie theaters are available but if you are looking for high quality entertainment that you can not find any where else be sure to take advantage of Ventura’s nightlife. Ventura’s downtown is just off the California Street exit from the 101. There are many live music venues including Zoey’s Cafe, Bernadette’s on Main, Nicholby’s Night Club, Jawz Cocktails, and the Majestic Ventura Theater. Ventura concerts are available almost any night of the week and most are open to the pubic. Many Ventura clubs offer live Jazz that you can dance to or just sit back and enjoy. There are many places in Ventura to enjoy some entertaining conversation including Ventura bars and clubs. If you are coming from out of town and take part in Ventura’s wines and other adult drinks be sure to stay at a local hotel or bed and breakfast and do not drive. No where in the world can you find a music scene more allive than the Ventura Music Scene. Ventura has been a home and tour destination for bands, musicians, and artists for many years. Event today the Beatrice Wood Studio in Ojai, part of Ventura County, hosts visual artists from time to time. Instrumental music in Ventura has been played at Bars on the beach, California 66 (no longer open), Nicholby’s Night Club, California Street Gallery (no longer open), and Zoey’s Cafe. Vocalists, DJs, and a variety of other artists perform each quarter at the City of Ventura’s Art Walk. Ventura Community College also has music programs for students.
